On 11th August, I wrote the sister entry to this one. As our community dwindled further and further, it seemed that moving was inevitable.
Well, it's dwindling again.
Now we have moved, and it's very lovely, and we have a whole new community to get to know and Saturday mornings can once again become a cross between Amelie and a modern day version of 'Postman Pat'. But with a twist.
Good morning, Mr Security Man, said Dougal, as he left the tower block he lived in.
Good morning, Diego, he replied.
Good morning, Mrs Flower Stall owner, Dougal chimed. Good morning Scottish white chap, she replied.
Good morning Mr Paint Shop man, Dougal said, smiling.
Good morning Scottish chap, Paint Shop man replied.
Then Dougal bumped into his friend Jacqui.
Good morning, Jacqui, said Dougal.
Er, said Jacqui, slowly. Do you realise you've got a cotton bud sticking out of your ear?
I did not.
